Service Coordinator – Purchasing & Operations

About the role

The Service Coordinator supports the service department by managing purchasing activities, tracking project progress, and coordinating training and administrative tasks. This position ensures smooth operations for service engineers and maintains compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process quotation requests, create purchase requisitions, issue and follow up on purchase orders, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Monitor and report on task progress, warranty claims, upgrades, and parts status on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate mobilisation of service engineers, update resourcing plans, and disseminate job information.
• Prepare financial reviews of service projects and support billing processes.
• Communicate with the Training Department, track training assignments, and maintain accurate training records.
• Provide administrative support including tools calibration tracking, transportation and hotel bookings, and general record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of a service or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and good communication skills.
• Organisational ability to plan, prioritise, and manage own workload.
• Proactive attitude to identify critical information and resolve issues quickly.
