Service Operator II – Logging & Perforating

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Service Operator II to join its Logging & Perforating team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role involves handling surface and down‑hole well logging equipment on oil‑field sites, ensuring accurate data capture and safe operation.

Key responsibilities

• Rig‑up and rig‑down surface and down‑hole well logging tools, including electric, nuclear and sonic equipment.
• Operate rig hoist and pressure‑control systems to record subsurface geological information.
• Assemble, maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on logging equipment.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑job vehicle and equipment inspections and complete related paperwork.
• Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training to less‑experienced Service Operators and Operator Assistants.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Service Operator – Logging & Perforating.
• Valid commercial driver’s licence where required.
• Completion of Well Control Accreditation and water‑survival training where applicable.
• Basic math, reading, writing and computer proficiency.
• Strong safety and environmental awareness and knowledge of HSE standards.

Required skills

• Rig‑up/rig‑down of surface and down‑hole well logging equipment.
• Operation of rig hoist and pressure‑control equipment.
• Assembly of electric, nuclear and sonic logging tools.
• Preventative maintenance and cleaning of logging equipment.
• Vehicle and equipment inspection procedures.
• Basic computer skills for reporting.
