Service Workshop Specialist

About the role

The Service Workshop Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all workshop activities for the assigned division or brand. The role ensures that customer expectations are met by managing the workshop business process, resources, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan scheduled work and allocate technicians based on skill sets and availability.
• Ensure tools, special equipment and parts are available; replace damaged tools and maintain workshop infrastructure.
• Monitor and improve workshop processes, spotting deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct daily planning/steering meetings and propose service improvements, local campaigns and portfolio enhancements.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, tidiness and overall effectiveness.
• Select appropriate technicians for each job, provide clear instructions and discuss solutions.
• Identify additional job opportunities, re‑plan workload and communicate with Service Advisors.
• Perform quality control checks, review job cards with technicians and conduct final inspections before vehicle hand‑over.
• Supervise staff, monitor productivity, allocate tasks and ensure adherence to procedures.

Required profile

• Technical degree in a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in automotive service or workshop management.
