Settlement Officer – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a Settlement Officer / Senior Officer to join our freight forwarding team, responsible for end‑to‑end shipment settlement, invoice verification and document control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end settlement activities for assigned freight forwarding shipments, reviewing airline, shipping line, carrier, agent and vendor invoices against shipment records and agreed rates.
• Collect, verify and maintain digital records of Delivery Orders, Air Waybills, Bills of Lading and other supporting documents, ensuring audit‑ready files.
• Accurately input and process AP and AR transactions in the ERP/logistics system, recording costs and revenues against the correct shipment and customer/vendor.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance & Accounting, customers and vendors to resolve discrepancies, follow up on pending invoices and ensure timely payment processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of experience in freight forwarding, shipment settlement, carrier/vendor invoice verification or logistics finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, Incoterms, AWB, BL and carrier charges.
