Shop Operator – Mechanical & Rotating Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Shop Operator to join our Industrial & Energy Technology production team. You will work with a variety of mechanical equipment, ensuring high‑quality service and manufacturing of rotating assets such as compressors, pumps, turbines and gearboxes.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, monitor and operate multiple pieces of equipment in the service and manufacturing facility.
• Inspect and repair centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, gas turbines and gearboxes.
• Perform visual, geometrical and non‑destructive testing, recording results on data sheets.
• Control quality of in‑process parts and document inspections.
• Carry out product preservation according to procedures.
• Raise HSE observations and follow safety targets.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, complete daily checklists and report fixture/tooling performance.
• Execute 6S housekeeping, maintain workstations and support lean‑manufacturing improvement projects.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience operating mechanical machines.
• At least 1 year of repair experience on rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines, gearboxes).
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or service shop environment.
• Ability to work morning shifts and adapt to 2‑3 shift patterns with overtime as needed.
