Site Civil Engineer

About the role

Elsewedy Electric is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to oversee civil works for a 132 kV underground cable project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves daily inspection, coordination with subcontractors and authorities, and supporting the Site Manager to ensure quality, safety and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect daily civil works (excavation, trenching, ducting, joint bay construction, reinstatement) against drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Support the Site Manager in execution, productivity, quality and progress of the civil scope.
• Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly civil activities to meet project milestones.
• Monitor schedules, identify delays, report constraints and assist in recovery actions.
• Supervise subcontractor crews, coordinate with municipalities, utility owners and other government entities.
• Verify availability and conformity of civil materials such as backfill, ducts, concrete and warning tapes.
• Prepare and submit regular site reports covering progress, manpower, equipment and quantities.
• Review subcontractor progress claims and identify potential variations or additional works.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably on 132 kV underground cable projects.
• Experience coordinating with authorities and managing subcontractor teams.
