Skilled Helper

About the role

The Skilled Helper works on the production floor, supporting the machine operators and team leaders to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing operations. This role involves handling raw materials, preparing rolls and pallets, and assisting with loading, unloading, and waste disposal.

Key responsibilities

• Check and load various raw materials (RM) and operational resources (ORM) throughout the shift.
• Prepare rolls for mounting on machines and assemble pallets and packing material as needed.
• Handle packing, loading, unloading, weighing, and transfer of items to work‑in‑process or finished‑goods areas.
• Monitor machines and products during production, reporting any quality defects to QC, the Team Leader, Lead Operator, or operator.
• Collect required paperwork, parts, and tools from related sections.
• Dispose of generated waste according to procedures.
• Assist the Team Leader, Lead Operator, and operators to meet KPI targets.
• Label rolls and pallets accurately.
