SME – IBM API Connect Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IBM API Connect to join our Riyadh team. The specialist will support, optimise and operate enterprise‑scale API platforms, ensuring high availability, security and seamless integration with cloud and DevOps processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and administer APIs using IBM API Connect v10 (Manager, Gateway, Developer Portal, Analytics).
• Configure and manage IBM DataPower Gateway, including services, domains, certificates, keystores and truststores.
• Implement API security controls such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, mutual TLS, encryption and LDAP integration.
• Develop GatewayScript and custom policies for request/response transformation and secure message flows.
• Perform troubleshooting, backup & recovery, upgrades and patching across the API platform.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams on CI/CD pipelines, automation and configuration management.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of hands‑on experience with IBM API Connect v10.
• Strong working knowledge of IBM DataPower Gateway.
• Solid background in API security, governance and enterprise‑level operations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
