Software Engineer – AI & Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an ambitious early‑stage deep‑tech company building foundational technology across AI, systems and hardware. The role offers the chance to own problems end‑to‑end, moving between backend services, infrastructure and hardware interfaces as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Take ambiguous technical problems from idea through architecture to production.
• Work across backend services, APIs, infrastructure, tooling and lower‑level systems.
• Build internal tools that accelerate the engineering team.
• Read unfamiliar codebases quickly and make safe, production‑quality changes.
• Make technical decisions without waiting for perfect requirements.
• Own shipped features, ensuring reliability in production.
• Address challenges spanning software, distributed systems, AI infrastructure and hardware.

Required profile

• 3+ years of production software engineering experience with strong programming fundamentals.
• Proven ability to work across multiple layers of a technical system and learn new technologies quickly.
• Comfortable working with a variety of programming languages.
• Experience with Linux, infrastructure, distributed systems, networking, cloud platforms or open‑source projects is a plus.
