Specialist Instructor – Elevator & Escalator Technology

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Specialist Instructor to deliver high‑quality theoretical and practical training in elevator, escalator and moving‑walkway technology. The role is based in our Engineering Department in Qassim and focuses on preparing trainees for careers in vertical transportation, facilities management, construction and transport infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory and workshop sessions covering installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators and moving walkways.
• Prepare lesson plans, training materials, demonstrations and hands‑on activities aligned with the approved curriculum.
• Teach mechanical, electrical, mechatronic and control‑system principles and develop trainees’ troubleshooting and fault‑diagnosis skills.
• Assess trainees through theoretical, practical and competency‑based evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor attendance, progress and performance while maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure a safe workshop environment, applying PPE, lockout/tagout and risk‑control procedures.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, audits, continuous improvement and on‑the‑job training.
• Engage with industry partners to align training with employer needs and enhance workplace readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial or a related engineering/technical discipline.
• Relevant technical teaching or vocational training qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Assessor qualification or willingness to obtain it.
• Preferably higher technical qualification or manufacturer‑specific training in elevators, escalators or moving walkways.
• Occupational health and safety certification relevant to engineering workshops is a plus.
