Specialist Mechanical Engineer (Rotating SME)

About the role

Worley Parsons is seeking a Specialist Mechanical Engineer with deep expertise in rotating equipment to support large‑scale projects across Saudi Arabia. The role involves providing mechanical engineering services, technical support and supervision within the mechanical engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop engineering packages for new installations and upgrades of gas compressors and auxiliary systems.
• Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities.
• Maintain and update engineering documentation and drawings.
• Analyse system performance, identify energy‑saving opportunities and recommend technical/economic optimisations.
• Lead feasibility and profitability studies for new facilities.
• Provide condition monitoring, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for rotating equipment.
• Ensure all mechanical engineering services comply with Worley, customer, international and Saudi Aramco standards, delivered on time and within budget.
• Mentor and support the development of junior engineering staff.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with gas compressors and their auxiliary systems.
• Advanced knowledge of vibration analysis and rotor dynamics.
• Strong understanding of international standards and Saudi Aramco specifications.
• Ability to develop design packages, review proposals and manage documentation.
• Proven problem‑solving skills in condition monitoring and root‑cause analysis.
