Sr. Accountant

About the role

Assystem is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Saudi Arabia. The role supports the company’s mission to accelerate the energy transition by ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all financial transactions accurately.
• Manage vendor invoicing, process accounts payable, and monitor accounts receivable aging.
• Perform monthly bank, intercompany, and subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing and filing quarterly/monthly VAT returns in line with ZATCA regulations and e‑invoicing standards.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments, and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare preliminary balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash‑flow reports for management.
• Provide documentation and analytical support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven accounting experience.
• Progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
