SRE / DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced SRE / DevOps Engineer to join its private‑cloud support team in Saudi Arabia. You will own complex customer issues, drive automation, and improve the reliability of OpenStack‑based cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software that enhances functionality, reliability, and manageability of on‑prem OpenStack platforms.
• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, Helm and ArgoCD.
• Provide Tier‑2/3 technical support, troubleshoot infrastructure, application and network problems, and keep customers informed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise performance and release processes.
• Use observability tools such as ELK and Grafana to create proactive alerts and monitor Service Level Objectives.
• Contribute patches to OpenStack components (Keystone, Nova, Neutron, Glance) and engage with the open‑source community.

Required profile

• Strong background in OpenStack and/or VMware cloud infrastructure operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Python development and ability to write OpenStack patches.
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, from testing to production support.
• Arabic language proficiency is essential.
