Sterile Processing Technician 3

About the role

The Sterile Processing Technician 3 works within the Sterile Processing Services (SPS) of Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare. You will ensure reusable medical items are safely decontaminated, packaged, sterilized, stored, and prepared for patient care across all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex sterilization cases while maintaining clinical and organizational standards.
• Coordinate resources, manage workflows, and support operational efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to intermediate and junior sterile processing staff.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to deliver timely sterile supplies.
• Plan, direct, and oversee processing, storage, dispensing, checking, and ordering of supplies and equipment.
• Participate in segment assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Identify safety hazards, take corrective actions, and apply quality‑assurance measures.
• Prepare verbal and written reports on equipment condition (sterilizers, aerators, washers, computers, printers).
• Attend safety and in‑service education programs and perform routine equipment inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sterile Processing, Allied Health, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant SPS experience.
• Fully proficient in English; Arabic preferred.
• Willingness to work any shift, including on‑call and overtime.
