Steward – Kitchen

About the role

Jumeirah The Red Sea is seeking a motivated Steward for its kitchen operations. This entry‑level position supports the Food & Beverage outlets by ensuring all dishware and equipment are clean, sanitized, and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain dishes and operating equipment in accordance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Prepare banquet equipment by counting, sorting, and organizing items.
• Maintain kitchen utensils and equipment, minimizing breakage and ensuring cleanliness.
• Sanitize machinery and equipment following established hygiene protocols.
• Adhere to personal hygiene, grooming standards and wear prescribed uniforms and name badges.
• Report any suspicious activity or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Keep departmental areas safe and hygienic, reporting any damage promptly.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to promote teamwork.
• Participate in meetings, briefings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary School certificate.
• 0‑1 year of experience in a similar steward or kitchen support role.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Understanding and respect for cultural differences.
