Storekeeper (Hotel)

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise and food supplies for the hotel. This position ensures that all items are handled safely, stored correctly, and made available to the appropriate departments to support smooth hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement and delivering them to the correct locations.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality; refuse damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and maintain organized, clean, and sanitized refrigerators, freezers, floors, and food equipment.
• Monitor stock levels, notify supervisors of low inventory, and remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash to designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential and proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
