Storekeeper – Warehouse Inventory Management

About the role

The storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, supervising material handling, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This role involves tracking all material movements, conducting inspections, and coordinating with logistics to meet delivery timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the store for upcoming stock and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for space management.
• Oversee loaders and laborers, coordinating with logistics for dispatch and ensuring proper loading hygiene, especially during monsoon conditions.
• Supervise off‑loading, inspect goods for damage or shortage, and report findings to the Warehouse Manager or Logistics Supervisor.
• Receive damaged or returned goods, assess condition, and obtain necessary approvals before restocking.
• Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and report them promptly.
• Conduct periodic physical stock counts, reconcile variances, and update counting sheets accordingly.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience as a storekeeper or in a similar warehouse role.
• Strong warehouse management skills and ability to follow SOPs.
• Effective communication skills; relevant industry experience is a plus.
