Structural Engineer – Design (Rail/Metro)

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer (Design) to provide technical oversight for multiple railway and metro projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring structural designs are robust, compliant, and well‑coordinated with other engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate structural design deliverables prepared by external consultants.
• Monitor design development and support technical decision‑making.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, geotechnical, MEP, systems, and construction teams to integrate structural works.
• Identify risks, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with standards and authority requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, value‑engineering exercises, and design assurance activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in structural design for major transportation infrastructure.
• Proven ability to oversee consultants and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and authority regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
