Structural Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Structural Inspector to join our Project and Construction Management team on a major Roads and Infrastructure programme in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on supervising and inspecting structural works such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, tunnels and other concrete structures to ensure strict compliance with specifications, safety regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, retaining walls, culverts, tunnels, precast elements, formwork, shoring, rebar installation and concreting activities.
• Verify that materials, workmanship and construction activities meet project specifications, approved drawings, ITPs and relevant standards.
• Monitor contractor activities for adherence to QA/QC procedures, method statements and safety requirements.
• Report non‑conformances, workmanship deficiencies or site hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results (slump, cube, load tests) and daily progress reports.
• Coordinate with testing laboratories and verify that required structural tests are performed and documented.
• Review contractors’ Requests for Inspection and support approval processes.
• Assist the Senior Structural Engineer with shop drawing reviews, method statements, material submittals and technical proposals.
• Participate in monitoring critical operations such as concrete pouring, prestressing, post‑tensioning and steel erection.
• Support as‑built verification and handover of structural works.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of construction supervision experience on structural works, preferably in roads, bridges, tunnels or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel construction practices, structural detailing and site quality control.
• Familiarity with KSA and international standards (MOMRA, MOT, ACI, ASTM, BS/EN, AASHTO or equivalents).
• Experience on PMCM programmes or government infrastructure projects in KSA is an advantage.
