Supervisor – Stewards

About the role

The Supervisor‑Stewards leads the stewarding team at Delta Hotels and Resorts in Jeddah, ensuring that all back‑of‑house cleaning and banquet support operations run smoothly and meet the brand’s quality standards. The role combines hands‑on equipment operation with staff coordination to deliver efficient service for both daily kitchen activities and large‑scale events.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to maximise cleaning efficiency and maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor water temperature and chemical levels for dish‑washing equipment, documenting results.
• Support banquet set‑ups, plate‑ups and buffet service by transporting supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Operate and maintain cleaning tools such as dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Return cleaned items to their proper locations and ensure proper storage.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting incidents promptly.
• Uphold professional appearance, protect company assets and maintain guest confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
