System Administrator (Windows/Linux)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to manage and optimise our physical and virtual server environment. You will ensure high availability, security and performance of core infrastructure while supporting end‑users across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers; apply patches, updates and upgrades.
• Collaborate with network teams to enforce secure connectivity and manage firewalls and security policies.
• Manage backup solutions, develop and test disaster‑recovery plans and conduct regular system audits.
• Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, groups and core services such as Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Respond to system alerts, provide Tier 2/3 support and document configurations and procedures.
• Develop PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy and common network protocols.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, RHCSA) are a plus.
