Technical Director – Construction Supervision

About the role

Surbana Jurong Group is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead construction supervision for major infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role provides strategic technical direction and ensures projects meet specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership during the construction supervision phase.
• Act as senior technical authority, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Lead technical reviews, design coordination, constructability assessments, and develop engineering solutions for complex challenges.
• Support Project Directors and Managers to deliver technically sound and commercially successful outcomes.
• Oversee multidisciplinary engineering and construction supervision teams, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Review and approve technical submissions, reports, methodologies, and key documentation.
• Interface with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders on technical matters.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and best‑practice adoption.
• Mentor and develop technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Assist business development with technical proposals and client presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20 + years of experience in infrastructure engineering, construction supervision, and project delivery.
• Proven technical leadership on large‑scale infrastructure projects (transportation, roads, utilities, water, urban development).
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, construction methodologies, and supervision practices.
• Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in international consultancy environments; GCC and Saudi Arabia project experience strongly preferred.
