Technical Services Specialist Internship

About the role

The Technical Services Specialist Internship is based in Riyadh within Abbott’s Core Diagnostic division. The role supports Abbott’s mission to empower smarter medical and economic decision‑making by providing on‑site technical expertise for diagnostic products. Working under limited supervision, the intern will apply subject‑matter knowledge in medical‑device field service to meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Conduct technical training and product briefings for customers, vendors, and company representatives.
• Act as the local on‑site representative for the customer’s organization.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and determine solutions aligned with product and customer specifications.
• Recommend corrective actions to both Abbott and customer representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• License from the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Works under limited supervision as an experienced professional individual contributor.
• Applies subject‑matter knowledge in medical‑device field service.
