Technical Support Engineer (Compressor)

About the role

As a Technical Support Engineer within Siemens Energy’s Product Integrity function, you will lead the resolution of critical technical issues on compressor installations at customer sites. You will work closely with clients and internal engineers to ensure optimal performance, contributing directly to the company’s decarbonisation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers and Siemens Energy teams to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Perform complex troubleshooting on turbo, axial‑flow, integral‑gear and reciprocating gas compressors and related systems.
• Facilitate the exchange of technical information between field sites and senior experts.
• Report findings and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the Product Integrity team.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance to both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Document field service activities, including service reports and maintenance logs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience installing and overhauling industrial gas compressors.
• Proven experience validating instrumentation and controls during start‑ups or overhauls.
• Expertise in vibration monitoring and site performance testing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in high‑pressure environments and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
