Telecom Quality Control Inspector

About the role

SGS is seeking a Telecom Quality Control Inspector to ensure that all telecom installation, testing and commissioning activities in Saudi Arabia comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications and approved drawings. The role involves close collaboration with construction, engineering and commissioning teams to maintain the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor installation of fiber optic (OSP & ISP), structured cabling, CCTV, access control, public address (PAGA) and telephone/data networks.
• Verify compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES, SAEP, SATIP) and review ITPs, method statements, material submittals and shop drawings.
• Conduct site inspections for cable laying, termination, splicing, grounding and equipment installation.
• Witness and validate testing & commissioning activities such as OTDR, power meter tests, fiber splicing loss testing and system integration functional testing.
• Raise, monitor and close Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs).
• Prepare as‑built documentation, test reports and handover dossiers.
• Participate in Aramco inspections, walk‑downs and audits while ensuring HSE and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Saudi Aramco approval and successful CBT pass as a QC Telecom/Communication Inspector.
• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of relevant experience in telecom installation and quality control.
