Test Manager

About the role

The Test Manager will lead end‑to‑end testing for complex enterprise applications, with a focus on Web Services and API testing. Working in an office‑based environment, you will ensure high‑quality releases that support reliable billing and revenue processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive a comprehensive test strategy for Web Services and API initiatives.
• Coordinate test execution cycles for REST APIs and backend services, aligning activities with sprint goals and release milestones.
• Design detailed test cases and reusable suites using Postman and SoapUI, covering request/response validation, payload structures, and error handling.
• Execute manual and automated API tests, monitor performance indicators such as response time and throughput, and identify bottlenecks early.
• Validate data integrity with complex SQL queries to ensure consistent transactional data across systems.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and business analysis teams during requirement grooming to clarify service contracts and acceptance criteria.
• Manage the defect lifecycle from logging to closure, providing accurate root‑cause analysis and prioritization.
• Report quality metrics—including defect density, test coverage, and execution progress—to support release‑readiness decisions.
• Implement reusable testing frameworks and standards to promote consistency across projects.
• Mentor junior test engineers in API testing, SQL validation, and tool usage.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning and coordinating testing for complex enterprise applications.
• Strong collaboration skills with development, architecture, and business teams.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of test engineers.
