Turbine Specialist

About the role

The Turbine Specialist will carry out highly specialised field‑service activities on gas and steam turbines at customer sites across Saudi Arabia and internationally. You will ensure safe, reliable and efficient turbine performance through maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, overhauls and modifications on large gas and steam turbines and associated equipment.
• Coordinate with Field Service shift leads and engineers to meet Siemens Energy quality, EHS and documentation standards.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, technical schematics, OEM specifications and work instructions to execute complex tasks.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring high workmanship, safety and quality throughout outages.
• Lead safety programmes, including PPE compliance, risk assessments and pre‑job briefings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with hands‑on experience on Advanced Frame Gas Turbines.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges and torque wrenches.
• Certified or trained in Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights.
• Willingness to travel extensively (≈80% travel, 200‑250 days per year) and work on international assignments.
• Strong English communication skills.
