Utility Technician

About the role

The Utility Technician supports PepsiCo’s production facilities by carrying out mechanical maintenance, corrective and preventive work orders, and engineering‑related tasks. The role ensures equipment reliability, line availability, and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned mechanical maintenance work orders, including corrective and preventive actions, within defined time frames.
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment issues and implement corrective solutions.
• Respond to technical problems in the assigned area, determine required parts, and make decisions on spare‑part utilization.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance plans to meet engineering standards and maintain equipment readiness.
• Monitor daily equipment parameters and record readings as required.
• Operate all utility‑related equipment and ensure proper hazard controls are in place.
• Supervise contracted labour during maintenance activities while adhering to safety and company procedures.
• Collaborate with direct managers, peers and supervisors to communicate status and actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Ability to work safely, follow standard operating procedures and meet EHS targets.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capability to work independently or as part of a team.
