Valuations & Modeling Manager (Power & Utilities Sector)

About the role

EY is looking for a Manager to join its Valuation and Modelling and Economics practice in Riyadh. The role works on commercial issues with management on parts of the acquisition process or transformation plans, and regularly undertakes financial modelling and valuations for strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise businesses on valuation issues related to acquisitions, divestitures or restructuring, and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings
• Help clients identify sources of value creation and quantify them, acting as a corporate finance advisor
• Collaborate with management during the acquisition process to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets affects accounting requirements, and provide fair value opinions for financial reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or engineering with at least 6 years of relevant work experience
• Proven record of solving complex problems, completing challenging projects and developing client relationships in the infrastructure businesses
• Experience reporting to senior colleagues and handling business valuation, capital allocation and portfolio optimization
• Ideally: previous valuation or financial modelling experience in professional services or Big 4 firms, experience coaching junior and senior staff, experience in power & utilities or other infrastructure sectors, and significant progress towards a CFA

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling skills, including project finance models
• Broad understanding of accounting principles and IFRS, including fair value measurements, business combinations and impairment testing
• Analytical, logical thinking with strong attention to detail and teamwork
