Valve Technician II

About the role

KBR is looking for a Valve Technician II in Rabigh to maintain rotating equipment in good condition and carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of rotating equipment and mechanical systems to the required standards. The role also involves supervising technicians and coordinating with operations and planning departments.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate maintenance activities to technicians and assemble the team.
• Supervise ongoing jobs and update progress to the foreman.
• Organize manpower, equipment and materials availability, and arrange work permits before work starts.
• Provide technical advice to technicians on the use of tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance Planning and Technical departments to complete jobs.
• Maintain SAP data input, history and actual hours.
• Attend daily and weekly maintenance progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with SATORP standards, safe work practices, hazardous work regulations and PPE usage, encourage reporting of near misses and unsafe conditions, and take part in safety audits.
• Attend scheduled safety and technical training.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-4 years' experience in oil and gas maintenance, with a diploma or bachelor's degree.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of oil and gas facilities.
• Well organized and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills in large organizations, maturity of judgment under pressure and problem-solving ability.
• Strategic management skills and the ability to deliver business results in a multi-cultural environment.
