About the role

As a Visual Merchandising Specialist at IKEA, you will create compelling visual presentations that inspire and surprise store visitors. Your work will strengthen the IKEA brand, enhance the shopping experience, and help convert visitors into customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement store layout and range presentation solutions that reflect local market needs and IKEA’s visual identity.
• Collaborate with the Commercial & In‑store team and other functions to execute action plans that drive business growth and profitability.
• Maintain safety and visual impact on the shop floor while minimizing disruption to visitors.
• Gather insights on store layout and translate them into convenient, inspiring shopping solutions.
• Stay current on home‑furnishing trends and retail best practices to generate creative visual directions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or a related field.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Understanding of design trends and local market preferences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with SketchUp.
