VP, Finance and Administration

About the role

The Vice President of Finance and Administration will be the senior executive responsible for finance, commercial, procurement, HR, legal, corporate governance and office administration across Midana Exploration Company and its Saudi entities. Based in Jeddah, the role supports rapid development of exploration and mining assets while ensuring compliance with corporate and government reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all finance and commercial functions, acting as the de‑facto CFO for MEC and related Saudi entities.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to the Board and regulatory bodies.
• Manage treasury activities to fund technical and commercial projects.
• Develop, monitor and control the consolidated operating and capital budget in partnership with the VP of Studies and Projects.
• Lead HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and visa administration.
• Oversee procurement, legal affairs, corporate governance and government compliance reporting.
• Supervise office administration and coordinate business travel between Jeddah, Riyadh, other Saudi JV offices and Australia.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance and administration experience, preferably in mining or resource sectors.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams at a senior executive level.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations, corporate governance and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets, treasury functions and cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
