Water DCS Projects Manager – Automation

About the role

Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex water DCS and automation projects, ensuring integration of control systems, software and hardware while meeting safety, budget, schedule and quality targets. The role reports to senior management and serves as the primary interface with customers, consultants and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract hand‑over through engineering, procurement, production, integration, testing, commissioning, acceptance and warranty support.
• Oversee delivery and integration of DCS, SCADA, PLC, RTU, communication systems, control panels, instrumentation and third‑party packages, including brownfield migrations.
• Monitor project revenue, costs, profitability, billing and cash flow; handle contractual variations, claims and change orders.
• Lead cross‑functional coordination with engineering, procurement, planning, production, quality, finance and testing teams as well as external technology partners.
• Conduct risk, quality and HSE management throughout the project lifecycle and ensure compliance with customer specifications and standards.
• Drive customer and stakeholder engagement, lead progress meetings, steering committees and manage expectations and escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience delivering DCS/automation projects in water or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, manage budgets and commercial contracts.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑anticipation and organizational development skills.
