Worker Welfare Compliance Inspector

About the role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Worker Welfare Compliance Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The inspector conducts inspections and audits to ensure full compliance with worker welfare regulations and Saudi labor laws, safeguarding worker rights and safe working conditions across all operational facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular and unannounced inspections of workplace facilities against worker welfare and occupational health and safety regulations
• Audit employment records, contracts and documentation for compliance with Saudi labor law and company policies
• Investigate worker complaints about welfare, safety and fair treatment
• Document findings, violations and non-conformities in detailed reports with photographic evidence
• Develop corrective action plans with facility management and follow up on their implementation
• Maintain records of inspections and audits in designated documentation systems
• Report results and recommendations to senior management and train facility managers on compliance best practices
• Stay current with Saudi labor regulations and analyze compliance trends to recommend preventive measures

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting workplace inspections, compliance audits or regulatory investigations
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, worker welfare regulations and occupational health and safety standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear communication with diverse audiences
• Objective and impartial approach, with organizational skills to manage multiple inspections
• Preferred: experience in labor or HR compliance, knowledge of international labor standards, OHS or compliance certification

Required skills

• Proficiency with inspection software, data management systems and Microsoft Office
• Documentation and report writing
