Workshop Supervisor – Drilling & Completion Tools

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor leads the planning, organization, and execution of all workshop activities related to the assembly, maintenance, and production of drilling and completion tools. This position ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations while aligning with company objectives and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor workshop production plans to meet schedule targets.
• Supervise workshop personnel, assign daily tasks and enforce operational procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain a clean, orderly workshop environment compliant with HSE and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment and tool maintenance, calibration and repair schedules.
• Manage material handling, inventory control and documentation to support uninterrupted production.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimise processes and improve productivity.
• Ensure assembled tools meet inspection and testing requirements before field release.
• Train and evaluate staff to enhance technical competence and teamwork.
• Prepare regular reports on production progress, equipment status and material usage.
• Perform additional duties assigned by team leader or management.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oilfield workshop operations or mechanical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and completion tools, mechanical systems and workshop processes.
• Good understanding of HSE and QA/QC systems and standards.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient English communication skills, both spoken and written.
