3D Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled 3D Design Engineer to join our Technical Department. You will be responsible for reviewing customer drawings, creating detailed CAD models, and ensuring design documentation aligns with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of customer drawings and 3D models.
• Control drawings and manage changes through DMS or PDM systems.
• Create 2D and 3D models for patterns and simulations using CAD software.
• Collaborate with production teams and job managers to explain work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
• Troubleshoot and implement design process improvements.
• Adhere to EHS requirements and support certification processes.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and provide technical support for product documentation.
• Support the sales team with manufacturing feasibility reviews and production process design.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in CNC machining processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of casting and machining operations principles.
• Expertise in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) for large parts (20 tons+).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
