3D Modeling Engineer – Lead Design Team

About the role

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is looking for a skilled 3D Modeling Engineer to lead the Design Engineering team. Reporting to the Head of Design Engineering, you will create and control 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical design outputs required for production, tooling, and engineering support.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the 2D Draftsman/CAD and ERP/MES/DMS Officer, assign tasks, monitor performance and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare 3D models and detailed drawings based on design inputs, applying correct tolerances, allowances, GD&T and revision control.
• Support pattern, casting, forging and machining requirements within design models and ensure manufacturability.
• Maintain the drawing register, design database and oversee document control in ERP, MES and DMS systems.
• Conduct technical reviews of customer drawings and 3D models, and provide clarification support.
• Attend meetings with production teams, job managers and engineers to communicate work instructions and manufacturing process sheets.
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in 3D modeling and design engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances and allowances.
• Experience with ERP, MES and DMS systems.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding of casting, forging and machining processes.
