A/C Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a motivated A/C Technician to join the maintenance team at Rotana Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia. The role involves installing, servicing and repairing temperature and air‑quality control systems across the hotel property, ensuring guest comfort and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor performance of refrigeration components and air‑conditioning/chill water systems.
• Verify door‑closing mechanisms on walk‑in coolers and freezers.
• Check and maintain defrosting systems and ice‑maker automation.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all hotel departments.
• Clean fan coil units and air‑handling filters on a routine basis.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to detect failures and set up systems.
• Control venting of CFCs to the atmosphere and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Overhaul air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment, checking oil and refrigerant levels.
• Coordinate parts purchases with the engineering storekeeper.
• Execute all work in accordance with national technical regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in refrigeration maintenance or building services engineering.
• Previous experience in a similar hotel‑maintenance role.
• Proven knowledge of operation and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, flexible and able to adapt to unpredictable situations.
• Pro‑active, reliable, calm under pressure with strong attention to detail.
