Accommodation Supervisor

About the role

The Accommodation Supervisor oversees the daily operations of residential or lodging facilities, ensuring rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and maintained to company standards and local regulations. The role blends hospitality excellence with strong organisational and leadership abilities to manage staff and deliver a welcoming environment for guests and residents.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily check‑ins, check‑outs and room assignments.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas and facilities to maintain high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to resolve repairs, deep cleaning or facility issues promptly.
• Manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, furniture and amenities within budget.
• Supervise, train and schedule housekeeping, maintenance and reception staff.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback and conduct performance reviews.
• Serve as primary contact for resident or guest complaints, requests and inquiries, resolving issues diplomatically.
• Enforce accommodation rules and community guidelines fairly.
• Maintain accurate records of occupancy, room conditions, maintenance logs and key control systems.
• Prepare operational reports using approved software and ensure compliance with health, safety and fire regulations.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in facilities management or housing supervision.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Proven leadership and team‑motivation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Resourceful problem‑solving skills, able to handle emergencies and resolve conflicts calmly.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data handling and scheduling.
• Microsoft Word for report creation.
• Microsoft Outlook for correspondence.
• Proficiency with Property Management Software (PMS).
