About the role
The Accountant will support the organization by accurately recording, tracking, and correcting financial transactions. This position ensures that all financial records are reliable and compliant throughout the fiscal year.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately record and summarize all financial transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable, payroll, receivable management, and fixed‑asset processes.
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, guaranteeing timely and precise financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Identify, investigate, and report any financial discrepancies or irregularities.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain strong accounting controls by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Guide accounting clerical staff, coordinating activities and answering queries.
- Secure financial information by performing regular database backups.
