Accountant (General Ledger & VAT)

About the role

HOYER Logistics Arabia is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Dammam office. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Saudi VAT regulations, and supporting day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in line with IFRS.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare invoices, update accounting system entries, and manage AP/AR transactions.
• Produce financial statements, regulatory reports, and monthly financial reports.
• Coordinate audit activities and respond to auditor requests.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of KSA VAT returns and stay current with VAT law changes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi accounting regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience handling general‑ledger functions.
• Solid understanding of IFRS standards.
