Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring that customer, bank, and supplier accounts are properly recorded and reconciled. The role supports financial closing, reporting, cash management, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting entries, invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation in line with accounting standards.
• Perform reconciliations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and general ledger balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities and produce required schedules and reports.
• Maintain banking records, monitor daily cash positions, and coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders.
• Compile documentation for tax, audit, and regulatory compliance, and assist internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, banks, and auditors to resolve accounting matters and communicate payment status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP ERP (finance modules).
• Familiarity with IFRS and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
