Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join the finance team at Naghi Marine Company in Jeddah. The role focuses on accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, general‑ledger entries, and compliance with Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, supplier invoices and payment requests.
• Verify invoices, reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and post general‑ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims and supporting documentation.
• Assist with Saudi VAT compliance and ZATCA reporting.
• Support financial reporting while ensuring internal controls are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, especially in accounts payable.
• Practical knowledge of Saudi VAT regulations and ZATCA requirements.
• Good written and spoken Arabic and English.
• SOCPA membership is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (preferred).
