Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Accounting Analyst provides financial and accounting analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support a staff or line division. Working under the direction of senior accounting leadership, the analyst also leads technical shift staff in reviewing ship/shore analyses and coordinating documentation with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial forecasts, reports, cash flow analyses, and tax/transfer‑pricing calculations.
• Develop and maintain internal control frameworks and ensure material risks are mitigated.
• Analyze feasibility of accounting system proposals and ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Research accounting literature to update or create new accounting policies and manuals.
• Support financial modelling, investment/divestiture analysis, asset valuations, and due‑diligence activities.
• Review affiliate cash calls and assist in designing funding procedures.
• Lead 24/7 shift staff in ship/shore analysis, document release, and stakeholder coordination.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting policies.
• Experience preparing financial statements, forecasts, and tax calculations.
• Ability to develop internal controls and assess material risks.
• Proven analytical skills for feasibility studies and financial modelling.
• Familiarity with corporate finance, investment analysis, and asset valuation.
