Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support the organization’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director – Accounting, you will oversee a team and maintain compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director – Accounting in implementing departmental strategies and objectives.
• Manage the accounting team, aligning activities with organizational goals and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Monitor and enforce accounting policies, systems, and procedures for compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare and submit periodic performance reports highlighting progress and challenges.
• Oversee general ledger management and ensure timely posting of financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to guarantee timely payments and collections.
• Supervise reconciliation of financial accounts to maintain data accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to month‑end and year‑end closing schedules and produce accurate financial reports.
• Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS or other applicable standards.
• Monitor tax compliance, overseeing accurate filing and payment of taxes.
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Train and mentor team members to develop skills and enhance performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in financial contracts or a related accounting role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Strong financial reporting capabilities.
