AFR Operations Specialist

About the role

The AFR Operations Specialist will manage air freight operations for DHL Global Forwarding in Riyadh, ensuring smooth flow of goods and information across customers’ global supply chains. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, handling shipment information, incidents, pricing and claims while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer bookings, ensuring all documentation and regulatory requirements are met.
• Track shipments, record and analyse operational exceptions, and take corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate cost and revenue capture, prepare invoices, debit/credit notes and support dispute resolution.
• Implement regulatory compliance procedures for commodities and destinations.
• Route and assign shipments to appropriate consolidations to meet service commitments and optimise profitability.
• Identify critical shipments and provide hyper‑care support for new business.
• Collaborate with internal specialist departments and external service providers to resolve performance issues.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members.
