Airport Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead airport maintenance operations, ensuring that all facilities, equipment and infrastructure remain in optimal working condition. This role coordinates daily maintenance activities, supervises staff, guarantees compliance with safety standards and manages resources efficiently to support uninterrupted air transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor weekly/monthly generator schedules and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) status.
• Oversee monthly testing of mechanical systems such as water‑treatment, sewage, conveyor belts, elevators, escalators, fire‑fighting and gas detection systems.
• Respond promptly to power outages, water supply interruptions and other maintenance‑related disruptions.
• Ensure availability of specialized tools and testing equipment for electrical and electronic system maintenance.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with procedures and approved standards.
• Supervise implementation of airport facility maintenance work and develop cleaning schedules and detailed cleaning plans.
• Maintain inventories of cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment, consumables and recoverable spare parts.
• Implement preventive maintenance for cleaning equipment and prepare monthly reports on consumable usage.
• Inspect maintenance warehouses, assess spare‑part storage conditions and coordinate work‑permit documentation with contractors and airport departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance operations in large‑scale or airport environments.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and compliance procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including airport staff, security, air traffic control and external contractors.

Required skills

• Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) monitoring.
• Mechanical systems testing (water‑treatment, sewage, conveyor belts, elevators, escalators).
• Fire‑fighting and gas detection system maintenance.
• Use of specialized tools and testing equipment for electrical/electronic systems.
• Preventive maintenance planning.
• Inventory management of cleaning supplies and spare parts.
• Work‑permit documentation coordination.
