Amusement Rides & Elevators Inspector

About the role

Applus Arabia is seeking an Inspection Engineer to lead safety and compliance inspections for amusement rides, playgrounds, elevators and escalators across the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. The role combines technical field work with client interaction and support for business development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections of amusement rides, playgrounds, elevators and escalators according to relevant standards and client requirements.
• Conduct site visits, prepare detailed technical reports and issue certificates following company IMS procedures.
• Support client visits, deliver service presentations and assist sales and business development activities in the region.
• Assist in creating inspection procedures, checklists, technical files and accreditation documentation.
• Coordinate inspection assignments with clients and internal teams, ensuring project requirements are met.
• Contribute to the development of amusement rides and playground inspection services within the department.
• Maintain compliance with QHSE, quality, safety and impartiality standards during all activities.
• Provide technical support and basic training to team members when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience inspecting amusement rides and/or playgrounds.
• Experience inspecting elevators and escalators.
• Strong knowledge of inspection methods, technical reporting, checklists and applicable procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and support sales initiatives.
• Willingness to be based in or travel to projects in the Western Region.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
