Analyst – Planning & Optimization

About the role

The Analyst – Planning & Optimization will support the petrochemical and polymers business by developing production plans, schedules, and feedstock allocation models. You will work closely with operations, logistics, sales and business development to ensure that production capabilities align with commercial demand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare short‑ to medium‑term production plans that balance demand, plant capacity, inventory and maintenance constraints.
• Develop and issue weekly and monthly production schedules for assigned product lines.
• Track schedule execution, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Create scenario and “what‑if” analyses to support planning reviews.
• Collect, validate and input data for feedstock optimization and mass‑balance models.
• Perform preliminary feedstock allocation studies, including swaps and alternative sourcing.
• Update mass‑balance calculations and consolidate economics/margin figures.
• Transform operational, supply and demand data into dashboards, tables and KPIs for decision support.
• Prepare regular reports on feedstock utilization, production plans, inventories and capacity usage.
• Participate in S&OP and ES&OP meetings to align production with commercial demand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production planning, feedstock optimization or related analytical roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large data sets and complex models.
