Application Developer – Java/Spring Backend Engineer

About the role

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is looking for an experienced Application Developer to join its IT Application Division. Reporting to the IT Application Manager, you will design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power production systems, enterprise integrations, and real‑time data processing across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java (JDK 8+) and Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for integrations with ERP, MES, third‑party platforms and Level 2 automation systems.
• Ensure API performance, security (JWT, OAuth) and scalability standards.
• Develop, optimise and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures and database structures in SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL.
• Translate manufacturing business requirements into technical solutions and integrate backend services with frontend applications.
• Debug and resolve issues related to applications, APIs and databases.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices.
• Maintain comprehensive API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in application development.
• Strong analytical skills to convert manufacturing requirements into technical designs.
